Breaking News:PROMINENT TRADITIONAL RULER IN NIGERIA LEADS WORSHIP SERVICE IN CHURCH

It was celebration galore last Sunday as a paramount ruler in south-west Nigeria, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja 11) , the Ooni of Ife, gracefully took charge of the praise worship service in a church. He did this in the presence of his traditional chiefs and household who were also in a state of ecstasy as a result of the beautiful and power-packed songs he rendered.

Though Oba Adeyeye is the chief custodian of the Yoruba tradition, he has made it unmistakably clear that he is not a king of the dead god but of the living Jehovah. It can be recalled that on several occasions he has openly identify with the Christian faith.

During a thanksgiving service to mark his coronation in December 13, 2015, the Oba declared before the entire world that “no king on Earth is above God”. Though he was severely criticized by people especially the unbelievers, but the highly reversed King told everyone who cares to listen that he was not ashamed to identify with Christ, less alone kneeling before the Almighty God. “I will continue to do this forever and ever” he declared boldly, stressing that “those who criticized me are ignorance of the supreme power of God Almighty before whom all kings must bow. He is the King of all kings. He appoints kings and dethrones them.” He concluded.
