PROSPERITY IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT TITHING - Bishop Oyedepo admonishes Christians
Many people see him as a controversial preacher. While some believe he is a scammer, others simply believe he is just a smart business man using the 'name of God' to enrich himself.
But whatever you think about Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, this will not take anything away from him. Nor will it stop him from speaking from the throne room of God. What he believe about prosperity is a divine revelation from God, and he has no apology to any man or woman.
Over the years Bishop Oyedepo who owns Covenant University, Ogun State Nigeria, has painstakingly tought, preached and sang on PROSPERITY and the principles of becoming prosperous. He reiterated again that you can not reap when you did not sowed.
In his Thursday's Twitter handle the bishop said “Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing because when you are not paying tithe, you’re under a financial curse".
One way the Bishop believe you can enjoy Godly prosperity is by paying your tithes to God. "The way you handle your financial dealings determines greatly what happens to you financially. Many things that afflict men are traceable to their monetary dealings. False financial dealings can open doors to inexplicable afflictions,” he said, adding that "many problems men face could be traced to their financial dealings."
As usual the message was received with mixed feelings from the public. However some of the minister's who bared their minds agreed that receiving from God is actually by paying your tithes.
@iamcedar tweeted, “There are two laws governing kingdom prosperity - spiritual (tithing and giving) and natural (Investing, competences, value). Both complement each other and can’t stand alone if you indeed want kingdom prosperity. I’m not a ‘Winner’ but I agree prosperity is impossible without tithing.”
